Our main Lake Tahoe ski tour combines two very different mountain experiences, giving guests the opportunity to enjoy the best of both North Lake Tahoe and South Lake Tahoe in one seamless holiday.
The tour begins with six nights in beautifully appointed condominium style accommodation in Northstar Village at the base of the lifts at Northstar California Resort. These spacious 2, 3 and 4 bedroom mountain residences feature full kitchens, comfortable living areas and a relaxed alpine atmosphere that makes it easy to settle in and enjoy the Northstar experience.
From there, we move south for ten nights at Margaritaville Resort Lake Tahoe, located just a short walk from the Heavenly Gondola. Here, guests enjoy spacious premium suites, resort style amenities and a lively South Lake Tahoe atmosphere, with a fully cooked buffet breakfast included each day.
For guests wanting an elevated Heavenly accommodation experience, there is also the option to upgrade to luxurious condominium style accommodation at Zalanta Resort at the Village. Located directly opposite the Heavenly Gondola, Zalanta offers premium residences with full kitchens, spacious living areas and a high end mountain retreat feel.
One of the things guests love most about this itinerary is the contrast between the different mountain environments. Northstar offers a relaxed alpine village atmosphere with beautifully maintained groomed terrain, cosy bars and cafés, and a genuine ski in ski out feel throughout the village. It’s the perfect way to ease into the trip and settle into the rhythm of Lake Tahoe skiing.
Moving to South Lake Tahoe for the second half of the tour brings a completely different energy. The atmosphere around Heavenly Mountain Resort is vibrant and lively, with lake views, après venues, restaurants, casinos and nightlife all within easy walking distance of the accommodation. It creates a great balance between big days on the mountain and the social side of a ski holiday.
Having two accommodation styles across the tour also gives guests the chance to experience Lake Tahoe in different ways. From spacious mountain condominiums with full kitchens and living areas, to premium resort suites with daily buffet breakfast included, the tour blends comfort, convenience and flexibility throughout the entire experience.
