Welcome to the ultimate in après ski holidays. It’s taken us more than 20 years to perfect the Ski Aspen Party Tour. It’s been tough and grinding work over a long period of time. We’ve partied like there was no tomorrow when we still had 2 weeks to go. We learned how to ski on no sleep and did it day after day. Awesome ski days blurred into awesome après ski nights. We knew how to ski but mastering the Aspen après scene was something else altogether. What didn’t kill us made us stronger and we went back to the well time and time again.
What happens in Aspen stays in Aspen
The time has come to share what we know but be warned… this tour is not for the feint of heart. By day you’ll take your skiing to the next level with some of the best ski instructors in North America. And when we’re done skiing, we’ll move seamlessly into après mode. 39 Degrees, The Little Nell or perhaps The Ajax Tavern. They’re all on the way home so we’ll probably stop at each. Après soon leads us to Aspen’s 120 bars, restaurants and clubs. Game on.
The Mecca of Après Ski Holidays
Ski Aspen founder Nick Farr explains the 1/3 rule. “To ski, après and party like this every night takes some planning. We’re at altitude in Aspen so you can get hurt. It’s our job to help our guests carefully map out their 2 weeks. Every day has 24 hours so you need to break that into thirds. Our on-snow day = 1/3, our après/party time = 1/3 and our recovery/sleep time = 1/3. You can sacrifice some of your recovery/sleep time but you MUST make up any critical lost sleep time if you want to survive the 2 weeks without missing ski days. Get too far in arrears and it can get messy.”
Nick goes onto explain, “We see it all the time. Our guests arrive fresh off the plane and they go very hard too early. We can all go out and have a blinder but you’ve got to be able back up and get on your skis the next day. We’re here to support our guests and show ‘em how it’s done.”

Are you ready to join the best ski party of 2018?
We’re going to show you just how we maximise your on-snow and après party time. Following seasons and seasons of practice, we start strong and go out with a bang…
Day 1: Arrival Day
Welcome to the party. Welcome to Aspen.
It doesn’t matter what time you flight lands – our in-resort event hosts will be at the airport to meetyou. Jump in our private transfers to your accommodation to get the trip going. This day is designed for you to meet the people you’re sharing with and take it easy after your journey to get to here… but not to easy. If you’re ready to get started we’ll tell you where and when for pre-après warm up.
Day 2: Welcome & Orientation
Today begins with a meet and greet. Grab your lift pass and get an update on the days to come. If you need rental equipment we’ll take you to Aspen Sports to get you kitted out. In the afternoon we offer an optional on-snow warm up. This is a gentle warm up on Aspen Mountain for anyone interested in making a few turns. We’ll give you a map marked with specific locations. Our hosts will be in position with drinks and music for you to take a break between runs. There’s no need to over do it on the first afternoon is there? First port of call on the way home is the Sky Bar for an introduction to hot tubbing in style…
From 7pm you’ve got the first offical welcome event – hosted by Aspen Sports. Head to their main store for free beer, wine and food, combined with expert advice and exclusive deals for our après ski heroes.
Day 3: The on-snow program begins – Skiing Buttermilk
Your in-resort hosts will take you to the base of Buttermilk where you meet our team of instructors. You’ll spend the day skiing Buttermilk, getting properly warmed up and preparing for the big days ahead. Our on-snow groups are very flexible. Initially divided by ability, speed and daring – you’ll have the opportunity to swap groups on a daily basis to push yourself or take it easy. Group sizes are no more than 6 guests per instructor. Lunch at The Cliffhouse where the Mongolian Grill with a beer is a must. After skiing, return home and prepare for another welcome party – this time courtesy of Frias Properties of Aspen. Food and drinks supplied – the perfect warm up for a night out.
Day 4: Skiing Aspen Highlands
Head to the base of Aspen Highlands to meet your instructors. Take on the locals favourite mountain – then take a well-earned break at the Merry-Go-Round restaurant. But don’t get too settled in. Today is a massive après day. We’d suggest a 12 pm lunch sitting at Cloud 9. Or if you want to keep skiing for a while longer, blast through ’til 2pm then get to Cloud 9 because the place is about to come alive with champagne spraying and dancing. Then once you’ve finished dancing on the chairs and tables, you’ll ski down the mountain straight into another après event hosted by the Ski Aspen team at the base of the mountain – food and drinks supplied.
Day 5: Skiing Aspen Mountain
Meet your instructors at the base of the Silver Queen Gondola. After a great apres session yesterday, fortunately today is a later start. Grab a free coffee and ride up up the gondola. Rip around Ajax all morning and it’s lunch with a view at the Sundeck restaurant. If you want an afternoon pit stop, Bonnies is a must for the famous deserts.
And as you’re skiing on Ajax, you’ll ski down and meet our team for some happy-hour action at one of the best après venues in town! From Ajax Tavern you’ve got The Little Nell and Sky Bar to pass on your way home! Tomorrow is a free day so the night is yours to get out and stay out. A well earned sleep in is waiting for you tomorrow.
Day 6: Free day
Today is a day for you. Time to relax and recover. Or call some of your après ski hero friends to grab lunch, go shopping or rip up the mountain.
Day 7: Skiing Snowmass
Meet your instructors on-snow at the end of the Snowmass Mall. This mountain is big. So big you could fit all three of Aspen’s other mountains into it. Not surprisingly then, today is a solid day of skiing. You’ll start on one side and by lunchtime you’ve just reached the other. It’s Sam’s Smokehouse for lunch. The staff here even save us tables so Ski Aspen guests don’t queue for a table. After the big ski day ends, you finish back at Snowmass Mall with another great après– hosted by the Aspen Skiing Company. Food and drinks are provided courtesy of Aspen Ski Co to say thanks for partying with Ski Aspen.
Day 8: Skiing Aspen Highlands
Today you’ll re-visit Aspen Highlands and take on the terrain that you missed out on last time. And today is the day to hike the Highland Bowl. The skiing from the top of the Highland Bowl is stuff of legend. And to celebrate, you should probably stop off at Cloud 9 – you’ll probably need to collect your shirt anyway.
Tonight is a free evening. By now, many of you will be socialising together outside of the organised après events. So enjoy a night out with others or take a rare night off.
Day 9: Skiing Snowmass
Your final on-snow day with your team of instructors. Today you’re back at Snowmass and will be trying to ski all the terrain you didn’t get to ski last time. Take on “Long Shot” for a mid morning adventure or challenge yourself a little more with “Powderhorn”. Lunch today is at Elk Camp. At the end of the ski day, you’ve got another après party. Yep you guessed it, food and drinks supplied!
Day 10: Free day
It might be your last full day in Aspen if you’re on our 10 night package. It’s a free day for you to go and ski your favourite mountain again – by yourself or with new friends. That evening, we’ll have a final night dinner arranged to celebrate the fun, the antics and all of the crash and burns with everyone from your trip.
Day 11: Free Day
Welcome to your weekend. Today you can take it easy and treat yourself to a wander around town or get back up there and take on your favourite mountain. Nothing officially planned today or tonight.
Day 12: Skiing Snowmass
Meet the team as usual on-snow at the Mall and have lunch at Sam’s Smokehouse. Finish the day by skiing your favourite Snows runs, then it’s a tequila après at Venga Venga. You’ll see what we mean when you get there…
Day 13: Last Aspen Mountain ski day
A final day of riding the gondola and taking on all the glades, steeps or groomers that Ajax offers. One last lunch at the Sundeck overlooking the Highlands Bowl. No après event this afternoon but there is always by now you know the routine – it’s Happy Hour at Ajax Tavern Ajax to finish the ski day.
Day 14: Last Snowmass ski day
It’s the final Snowmass ski day. Go big or go home. But don’t really go home… Meet everyone at the end of the ski day for an unofficial après event.
Day 15: Last Highlands ski day
Meet the team at the base of Highlands and decide – One last hike up the bowl? Or do you want to go steep in Temerity and Olympic Bowl? Or as it’s the last day can you feel Cloud 9 calling you for one last champagne and dance session? The choice is yours. We’ll have a final night dinner arranged to celebrate the highs and the highs with everyone from your trip.
Day 16: Departure Day
Check-out time is 10am. Your transfer to the airport will arrive promptly as this will have been pre-arranged. If you’re on a later flight we’ll help you store your bags until you’re ready to leave. Sadly, your Aspen adventure for this season has come to an end – unless you decide to stay on? Just saying… you’ve got a 30 day lift pass!
