Tour snapshot

On-snow
Guests are divided into small groups based on ability, speed and daring and will ski with our instructors/guides for 5 hours each day. We provide as much ski improvement as you want with as much guiding/miles as you want. Video analysis sessions are also included.

Accommodation
Our fantastic tour accommodation is located at The Gant. Large and spacious condos are just the beginning with a host of other facilities including pool, spas, gym, cafe, bar and conference rooms at your disposal. Learn more about The Gant.

Aprés
This is something we’ve mastered over 23 years of living and skiing in Aspen. Our après events regularly kick-in once the ski day is over. They are designed to bring people together and to create an enjoyable social environment.

Free Days
This 15-night package includes a total of 3 free days (not including arrival and departure days). This gives you plenty of time to rest tired muscles or to explore Aspen as you wish. 10 full days of on-snow guiding and instruction is provided on this tour but with your 30-day lift ticket, you can ski everyday if you wish. See our itinerary for a detailed breakdown of each day.

Itinerary

15 night itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Day
Welcome to Aspen. No matter what time your flight lands, our in-resort hosts will be at the airport to meet and greet
you. You’ll then be transferred in our private cars to your accommodation. This day is designed to be easy going after your long journey to get to Aspen. Take the time to relax and settle into your accommodation.

Day 2: Welcome and Orientation
We start today by getting all guests together for a meet and greet. You’ll receive your lift pass and learn more about the days to come. This is also the time to get any rental equipment or have your own gear checked by the team at Aspen Sports. In the afternoon we offer an optional ‘find your ski legs’  warm up. This is a gentle warm up on Aspen Mountain for anyone interested in making a few turns. From 6pm enjoy a welcome party hosted by Aspen Sports in their marque store.  Free beer, wine and food is combined with expert advice and exclusive deals for Ski Aspen guests.

Day 3: The on-snow program begins – Skiing Buttermilk
Today you’ll meet your team of instructors/guides at the base of Buttermilk Mountain. You’ll spend the day skiing Buttermilk, getting properly warmed up and preparing for the big days ahead. Our on-snow groups are very flexible. Initially divided by ability, speed and daring – you’ll have the opportunity to swap groups on a daily basis to push yourself or take it easy. Group sizes are capped at 6 guests per instructor. Lunch is at The Cliffhouse restaurant where the Mongolian Grill is a favourite. After skiing, return home and prepare for another welcome party – this time courtesy of The Gant Aspen. Food and drinks are supplied and it’s another great opportunity to get to know the group.

Day 4: Skiing Aspen Highlands
Today you’ll head to the base of Aspen Highlands to meet your instructors/guides. Be challenged on this fantastic mountain – the locals favourite – then take a well-earned break for lunch at the Merry-Go-Round restaurant. You’ll finish the ski day with our traditional après event hosted by the Ski Aspen team at the base of the mountain – food and drinks supplied.

Day 5: Skiing Aspen Mountain
Nicknamed Ajax, today you’ll meet your instructors/guides at the base of the Silver Queen Gondola on Aspen Mountain. Grab a free coffee for the ride up and take in the views. Explore all that Ajax has to offer and meet for lunch at Sundeck restaurant. If there’s time in the afternoon, a pit stop at Bonnies is a must for the very special apple strudel. Tonight is a free evening with no planned après events. But as you’re skiing on Ajax, you’ll no doubt join our team when you finish skiing in one (or maybe two) of the best après venues in town! Ajax Tavern, The Little Nell and Schlomo’s are all on your way home!

Day 6: Free day
Today is a day for you. Take a day off-snow and explore the town, go shopping, or visit one or more of the cafes, restaurants or bars. If you’d prefer to ski, choose your mountain and away you go. Often guests will get together on the free days to ski or enjoy the town.

Day 7: Skiing Snowmass
Today you’ll meet your instructors/guides on-snow at the end of the Snowmass Mall at Snowmass. This mountain is big. So big you could fit all three of Aspen’s other mountains into it. Not surprisingly then, today is a solid day of exploring. Generally, you’ll start skiing on the Elk Camp side of Snowmass then slowly work your way across. By the time you reach the other side, it’s lunchtime – and where better to eat than Sam’s Smokehouse. The staff here even save us tables so Ski Aspen guests will never need to hunt for seats. Our ski day finishes back at the Snowmass Mall where we enjoy another great après event – this time hosted by the Aspen Skiing Company. Food and drinks are provided courtesy of Aspen Skiing Company to say thanks for choosing Aspen.

Day 8: Skiing Aspen Highlands
Today you’ll re-visit Aspen Highlands and take on the terrain that you missed last time. And today is the day for those who want to hike the famous Highland Bowl. Take the Loge Peak chairlift, then the snowcat as high as it’ll go. Then it’s time for a 30-40 minute hike to the summit of Highland Peak. This experience is one not to miss because what goes up must come down… and it’s a long way down! The skiing from the top of the Highland Bowl is the stuff of legend.

Tonight is another free evening. By now, many of our guests will be socialising together outside of the organised après events. So enjoy a night out with others or maybe a quiet night at home – the choice is yours.

Day 9: Skiing Snowmass
Today you’re back at Snowmass and will be trying to ski all the terrain you didn’t get to visit last time.
Take on “Long Shot” for a mid-morning adventure or challenge yourself a little more with “Powderhorn”. Lunch today is at Elk Camp. At the end of the ski day maybe a quick après at Venga Venga.

Day 10: Skiing Aspen Mountain
Back on Ajax and by now you’ve got the routine sorted. Free coffee when meeting the team at the gondola and up you go. Lunch is again at the Sundeck restaurant and yep, après on the way home is pretty hard to pass up – it’s Aspen after all and you now have two free days.

Day 11: Free Day
Welcome to your weekend. Today take it easy and treat yourself to a wander around town or get back up there and take on your favourite mountain. Nothing officially planned for tonight.

Day 12: Free Day
Your second day off and you’ll be feeling good. If you skied yesterday, take today off. If you took yesterday off, make a few turns today. We advise at least one full rest day during this two-day block. You’ve got a big 3 days coming up.

Day 13: Skiing Snowmass
It’s the final Snowmass ski day. Meet the team as usual at the end of the Snowmass Mall and get skiing! Lunch today will be at Gwyn’s High Alpine. Finish the day by skiing your favourite Snowmass runs.

Day 14: Skiing Aspen Mountain
A final day of riding the gondola and taking on all the glades, steeps or groomers that Aspen Mountain has to offer. One last lunch at the Sundeck with the incredible views overlooking the Highland Bowl. No official après event this afternoon but there is always something happening after an Ajax ski day.

Day 15: Skiing Highlands
Meet the team at the base of Highlands and decide. One last hike up the bowl? Or do you want to challenge yourself in Deep Temerity? Or maybe just winding down with some top to bottom runs on the never-ending groomers? The choice is yours. We’ll have a final night dinner arranged for tonight to celebrate with everyone on your trip.

Day 16: Departure Day
Check-out time is 10am. The team at The Gant will transfer you to the airport to meet your flight. If you’re on a later flight we’ll help you store your bags until you’re ready to leave. Sadly, your Aspen adventure for this season has come to an end. Unless you decide to stay on?
