The 2026 Australian ski season promised snow, turns, powder days and plenty of time on the mountain.

Instead, for many skiers, it delivered something closer to an extended exercise in checking weather apps, studying snow cams and convincing ourselves that maybe next week will be better.

It wasn’t.

With Australian resorts closing around a month earlier than usual after a very poor season, there are plenty of skiers feeling decidedly under-skied.

So, if your skis are sitting in the garage not having had much of a run, perhaps it’s time for an Aspen Colorado ski holiday to make up for lost time.

Obviously, nobody is standing at the bottom of the gondola with a clipboard demanding you hit your daily vertical quota.

Our Ski Aspen groups are incredibly social, and après events are very much part of the program.

You can ski hard all day, come back absolutely exhausted and announce that you’re definitely having a quiet night.

Our tours have always been about the people as much as the skiing. You arrive as part of a group of skiers and very quickly find yourself part of a crew.
