Aspen skiing continues to attract strong demand from Australian skiers, with the early response to our Ski Aspen 2027 tours being one of the strongest we’ve seen in years.
Across both 2027 tours, we originally released just 8 x two bedroom/two bathroom condos and 1 x three bedroom/three bathroom condo through our early bird offers.
Already, Tour 1 (Feb 5 – Feb 20, 2027) is down to only 2 x two bedroom/two bathroom units remaining.
Tour 2 (Feb 20 – March 7, 2027) has been even more remarkable, with only one bedroom remaining plus one spare bed available in a twin share room with another female guest.
For a ski industry that can often see people booking late or waiting to “see what happens”, this level of early commitment says a lot.

Why Aspen Skiing Demand Is So Strong
There are probably a number of factors contributing to the strong demand we’re seeing for Aspen skiing in 2027.
A Stronger Australian Dollar
One is certainly the Australian dollar, which has strengthened against the US dollar in recent months.
For Australian skiers planning an overseas ski holiday, currency movements can make a meaningful difference and there is no doubt this has helped create confidence for people wanting to lock in their Aspen plans early.
For many guests, a stronger Australian dollar can significantly improve the overall value of an Aspen ski holiday once lift tickets, accommodation, dining and shopping are factored in across a two week trip.
Combined with early access to some of our best accommodation options, it has created a strong incentive for people to commit early rather than wait until later in the season.

The Gant Renovation in 2028
Another factor is accommodation availability looking ahead to 2028.
Many of our guests stay at The Gant, which has been our primary accommodation partner in Aspen for many years. Following our 2027 season, The Gant is scheduled to close for a major renovation and upgrade program.
While that refurbishment will ultimately deliver an even better guest experience in the future, it also creates some uncertainty around what Ski Aspen may look like beyond 2027 and whether we will be able to continue operating in the same format we have for many years.
A number of our regular guests are very aware of this and have chosen to secure their preferred accommodation options now for 2027 while availability remains strong.
32 Years of Ski Aspen
But underlying all of this is something much bigger.
Ski Aspen is now entering its 32nd year.
On any measure, that is a significant achievement in the ski industry.
Very few overseas ski tour operators build a community that lasts more than three decades.

The reason we have endured is simple.
We have never tried to be the biggest ski company. We have always focused on creating great ski holidays for good people who love skiing, mountains and the social side that comes with it.
That formula has created something very special over time.
A Genuine Ski Community
Many of the people joining us in 2027 have travelled with us multiple times before.
Some have skied Aspen with us for more than a decade.
Lifelong friendships have been formed on these tours and for many guests, the annual Ski Aspen trip has become one of the highlights of their year.
And for new guests joining us for the first time, that welcoming community atmosphere is often what surprises them most.
Why Aspen Skiing Continues to Deliver
Of course, the destination itself plays a huge role.
Aspen Colorado continues to deliver one of the best overall ski experiences anywhere in North America.
Four mountains on one lift ticket. Incredible grooming. Virtually no lift lines compared to many major resorts. Huge terrain variety. Great restaurants and après skiing. Plus a genuine ski town atmosphere that still feels authentic despite Aspen’s global reputation.

For Australian skiers especially, Aspen often exceeds expectations.
Many arrive expecting exclusivity and crowds. What they actually discover is relaxed mountain culture, exceptional skiing infrastructure and an experience that feels surprisingly accessible and easy once you are there.
That is one of the reasons so many people return year after year.

Almost Sold Out Before Ski Expo Season Begins
What makes this early demand even more remarkable is that the major Melbourne and Sydney snow travel expos are only just about to begin.
Traditionally, these expos mark the start of the key booking period for many international ski operators and resorts as they begin showcasing their products for the 2027 season.
To already be almost fully booked before that process has even started says a great deal about the loyalty of our returning guests and the reputation Ski Aspen has built over more than three decades.
It also reflects the confidence people have in booking Aspen skiing with a company and community they know and trust.

Booking Early Matters
The other thing early bookings provide is choice.
Guests who commit early are able to secure the best accommodation options, organise flights earlier and lock in preferred room configurations before availability becomes limited.
As we are already seeing for Tour 2, some room categories can disappear very quickly once bookings begin rolling in.
A huge thank you to everyone who has already joined us for Aspen skiing in 2027.
After more than 30 years, we never take that loyalty or trust for granted.
What started as a small group of Australians travelling together to Aspen has grown into a genuine ski community spanning decades, friendships and countless unforgettable ski days.
And honestly, we still love it just as much now as we did in year one.
