  • Rob Barron

    ski aspen snowmass

After numerous winters in the Europe, the USA and Canada, Rob joined the Mt. Hotham Ski School in 1995 and Ski Aspen in 2009. He has Australian Professional Ski Instructors Alpine 3 certification and continues to update his skiing qualifications. A passion for instructing and helping guests to improve their skills underpins his approach. Whether it’s floating through the powder, carving up the groomers or swilling at après, Rob likes to make every moment count and is a favourite with our guests.

When the snow has gone, Rob is a ceramic artist working with wood fired pottery and exploring the parallel worlds of fire and ice.

  • Martina Podesta

Martina provides Ski Aspen with some Italian flare and her ski performance speaks for itself! Martina has achieved both Canadian instructing (CSIA 3) & CSCF race coaching qualifications and has a background of instructing and coaching in Canada. As a teenager, Martina was a competition GS ski racer. “I was actually a swimming athlete and had to give up skiing because of swimming… but I ended up giving up competitive swimming because I couldn’t see my life without snow!”

With a degree in geography science, Martina knows everything about climate phenomena – and is now our ‘go to’ for the heads up on the next powder day!

  • Attila Kovacs

Since 2004, Attila has been a favourite with both staff and guests of Ski Aspen. Skiing throughout Australia and New Zealand from a young age, Attila’s love for the mountains took him to Mt. Buller where he learnt about the industry from the ground up – working in roles from ski hire to lift operations and risk management. Attila is a qualified APSI instructor who spends the Aussie winter teaching skiing at Mt Hotham.

Outside of Ski Aspen, Attila works as a helicopter crew member for the Emergency Services, including the Air Ambulance. His other interests include renovating, gardening, coffee and a nice glass of red!
